Kudrin says more than 20% of poor get no state support
MOSCOW, Mar 31 (PRIME) – The state does not support over 20% of Russians living beyond the poverty line, head of the Audit Chamber Alexei Kudrin said on Wednesday.
"Our analysis of poverty programs showed that some categories of people are not supported by the state measures and more than 20% of people are not affected by any forms of support though they live beyond the poverty level," Kudrin said.
He added that support of families with children in 2020 played a serious role in prevention of poverty growth, cutting the possible increase by about 2%.
